Joya: AiR / Imogen Sinclair / UK

I"I came to Joya: AiR to reconnect to myself and my practice after some time feeling lost. Joya gave me the space to do this and so much more. What Donna and Simon have created here is nothing short of magic. My time here allowed me to slow down and shake off the speed we get so caught up with in day to day life.

The creative energy at Joya is palpable. In every corner there are hidden treasures and histories from resident artists throughout the years. You’d be hard pushed not to feel inspired in this creative oasis. This is a place that makes you feel alive and connected to something much greater than yourself.

Spending a month off grid, creating work and sharing with such wonderful, inspiring individuals has been deeply nourishing and insightful. This experience has not only reshaped my artistic practice but also who I am and how I will live my life going forward.

The most beautiful part of Joya is the people you get to share it with. So thank you to my fellow residents, and to Donna and Simon for imagining something so special and bringing it to life”.
