Shankar Saanthakumar is a Scotland-based, London-born sculptor and sound artist working at the intersection of molten metal and synthetic sound. His practice explores perception, embodiment and procedural cellular division. Cold Fusion; Primer Paso archives pre-embryonic morphology and stages the birth ritual of the Cold Fusion species. Named after their energy source, Cold Fusion harnesses energy abundance to enable perpetual division and gait experimentation. It is believed that the species first learned to walk in the Earthtian desert valleys of Joya at [37.763696] [2.070142], where three pre-embryonic fossils and a complete egg system were first discovered.
