“An investigation into the possibility of compiling a colour dictionary based on a specific place. The 33 colour capsules capture 66 different colours inspired by the immediate environment of the Sierra María, Andalucía. The Sierra María Colour Dictionary.

Gabriella Kroese engages in colour research that she relates to immediate natural habitat of a given place. In fact she abstracts that which is naturally present into colour capsuels. In this way she wants to slow down and thereby intensify the act of looking. A ‘slow watching’ you might say.
